According to reports from Tucson News Now, the accident involved two cars and sent three people to the hospital, where a 62-year-old man later died of injuries. The crash occurred around 1 p.m. and police investigated the scene until 5:30 p.m. to determine exactly what happened. It appears the driver of the blue car was traveling southbound on Houghton and the driver of the white car, which also contained a passenger, was traveling eastbound on Tanque Verde. The accident happened around the intersection of 30th Street and Paradise Lane shortly after midnight. The driver of the truck was shot by a man who was walking down the sidewalk with another man. The truck veered off the road, struck a light post, and then crashed into the side of an apartment building before coming to a stop.
