Lucky Lou’s The Lucky First Winner of the HWLT HEART Campaign
Earlier this month on April 2nd, we at the Breyer Law Offices, P.C. kicked off our HWLT HEART campaign, where the people of Arizona get to nominate their favorite local restaurants, with the promise that The Husband and Wife Law Team will pay up to $2,000 of the total sales for the winning nominations.
After our launch, the nominations began to flood in. Thank you to all the amazing people who shared our campaign! Because of you, we received more nominations than we even knew what to do with! Of course, we had to get to work right away and review all of the options. The decision wasn’t an easy one. Many local restaurants need and deserve help during these difficult times. After some careful consideration, however, we selected our first winner, Lucky Lou’s in Chandler!
On April 9th, The Husband and Wife Law Team paid $2,000 of the total sales for the day. Afterward, we had the chance to catch up with the general manager of Lucky Lou’s, Kyle Daniels. He told us he heard about the promotion from some regulars, and from there, customers and staff alike took the initiative to create multiple nominations for the beloved restaurant. Daniels himself put it out of his mind until he got the call that Lucky Lou’s was the winner.
The resulting turnout was great, according to Daniels. The staff worked nonstop for the entire day. There were six employees on the phone and six cooks on the line, and the place was hopping. The phones didn’t seem to stop ringing even for a second. At one point the cooks even had 50 tickets waiting for them in the window. By the end of the day, sides were running out and substitutions had to be made. What a wonderful problem to have!
Needless to say, the staff at Lucky Lou’s truly appreciate the community response. It just goes to show that even in the toughest of times, we can find a little light if we all work together. Lucky Lou’s has 3 locations in the Valley: Mesa, Queen Creek, and Chandler. Please continue to support these great local restaurants.
