Skippy’s Grille and Cantina Skips into Our HEART
Most people in Queen Creek already know about Skippy’s Grille and Cantina. This well-loved breakfast establishment is a local favorite, and it’s no wonder we received so many HEART Campaign nominations for the restaurant. The food is exquisite, the staff are charming, and being family-owned means that you know exactly who you’re buying from. We at Breyer Law Offices, P.C. simply had to select them as our next winner. Skippy’s served us one of the best breakfasts that we’ve had in a long time.
When we told the owners, Tom and Joann, that we had chosen their establishment as our next HEART Campaign winner, they were overjoyed. The couple and their children have fully owned Skippy’s since 2015, and the couple has partially owned it since 2007 when they bought it from the original owner who they met on a deep-sea fishing trip. The family has loved running the business together and have made Skippy’s Grille and Cantina a household name in Queen Creek.
The restaurant opened up for the early morning rush on June 3 with all hands-on deck. The orders started rolling in the very moment there was someone to answer the phone, and they didn’t stop until the end of the day. Needless to say, Skippy’s hit their goal and then some, with all customers and patrons leaving full and happy.
We encourage all of our readers to continue going to Skippy’s, even though the campaign is over. Family-run establishments are important to any town, and the same goes for Queen Creek. The variety of options is incredible, the service is excellent, and the moment you step through the doors you will be treated like family.
If you want to help your community and provide support to your favorite restaurant, head over to our HEART Campaign page and fill out a nomination. Who knows? Your beloved establishment may just be next on our list of winners! Thank you to everyone who joined us in helping Skippy’s and thank you to everyone who has already submitted a nomination. So long as we work together, nothing can keep our community down for long.
