Giving Back to Those Who Make a Difference

Unfortunately, budget cuts, increases in the cost of living, and more people out of work means there are more students heading off to school without the proper supplies. Many teachers take it upon themselves to fill this gap.

On average, school teachers nationwide spend $400 a year out of their own pocket to supply their classrooms with some of the most basic needs, such as pencils, paper, crayons, and scissors. The National School Supply and Equipment Association in 2010 found that the total out of pocket amount spent in the U.S. totals over $1.33 billion dollars every year.

"Being able to give back to Arizona teachers is so rewarding because it really just comes right back around through the students they are molding through their classes. We are excited that this program is raising awareness about teacher appreciation while also helping teachers and the community" shared Alexis Breyer.
