Congratulations to our April Teacher Appreciation Winner: Christina Tubbe

Teacher Appreciation Contest

With the help of the principal at Legacy Traditional Elementary School, Sarah Benedict, The Husband and Wife Law Team surprised a wonderful and deserving recipient with their monthly Teacher Appreciation Award. Christina Tubbe was surprised in front of the whole school during an assembly. Attorney Mark Breyer shocked Christina when she was called to the stage for winning. Mark had a check for Christina in the amount of $250.00, a Teacher Appreciation plaque for her classroom, and a few more surprises! She was completely blown away! Mark expressed the importance of how much teachers do, but how few of them actually get the recognition they deserve. She was ecstatic and even more surprised being told that she would be featured on The Husband and Wife billboards throughout the Valley for a day. But the surprises didn’t stop there. Her prize of $250.00 was doubled by the individual that nominated her and she walked away with a total of $500.00. Not only was she awarded $500.00 and an appreciation plaque, but Mark also rewarded Christina and all the students and faculty at Legacy Traditional, with a pizza party to celebrate their last day of school!

Mrs. Tubbe is a three year veteran at the Legacy-Laveen campus. She taught first grade for a year, and has been teaching third grade for the last two years. She goes all out for all of her students. She provides extra tutoring sessions when her students struggle and ensures the lessons are ways to better process the information. Whenever the opportunity presents itself to make a lesson more engaging and exciting, Mrs. Tubbe finds a way. Recently she held ‘Camp-Learn-A-Lot’ for her students. This program was dedicated to helping her students with their skills and better prepares them for AZ Merit testing. She is also dedicated to the school community. She assisted with our ‘Rock on Rasole” Teacher Talent Show. She is on multiple committees and is helping to lead the school talent show committee. She volunteers to assist whenever possible and is always there is a co-worker needs assistance or support. She is an amazing Longhorn Leader!

How can you reward your favorite teacher? It’s simple!

All too often great teachers go unrecognized for the hard work and dedication they pour into the classroom. The Breyer’s Teacher Appreciation Award aims to give credit where it is due, by rewarding one amazing teacher each month.

Mark and Alexis, successful attorneys and parents to 8 children, know the impact a great teacher makes. “I grew up seeing the importance of teachers in communities, and saw firsthand how they give so freely, so their students can thrive,” said Mark Breyer.

Anyone can nominate a deserving teacher online, by filling out an entry form at https://www.breyerlaw.com/lawyers-for-teachers/.
