Our Team Can Get an Accident Report for You
Scottsdale is, for the most part, a safe city, but accidents can happen anywhere. If you’ve been in a collision on E. Via Linda, or N. Scottsdale Road, or while getting on SR-101, you have an obstacle course to recovery in front of you. One thing that will help? Getting the collision report from local law enforcement.
The Husband & Wife Law Team will get that report for you at no charge. Please fill out the form below to get started!
How a Police Report Can Help You (and Your Lawyer)
After a car collision in Scottsdale, if you call the police to the scene, they will take down vital information, which will help your claim for compensation with the at-fault driver’s insurance company. If you have to go to the hospital, and your vehicle is towed away, this report will also assist your family in retrieving the vehicle.
The responding officer should write up a report within a day or two of the accident, stating:
- Each driver’s name, insurance policy, and contact information
- Who was at fault
- What traffic laws were violated (if any)
- When, where, and how the accident happened
- Weather or road conditions at the time of the accident
- An overview of the damage to the vehicles
Once you receive your police report, examine it carefully! It may be that the officer made transcription errors or neglected to take down details. We’ll ask you to review it, and if there are any inaccuracies, let us know and we’ll go to work to get it fixed. We can also reach out to the responding officer to “fill in the blanks” left empty on the report. This will all become very important if you file a personal injury claim.
