Congratulations to New Mexico's Ms. Taylor!
Lew Wallace’s very own Ms. Taylor received the surprise of a lifetime before the winter holiday break, when The Husband & Wife Law Team visited her classroom to present her with their Teacher Appreciation Award. In front of delighted students, Ms. Taylor was honored with a commemorative plaque, $500, and the promise of an upcoming pizza party for her entire class.
This recognition came from a heartfelt nomination by a parent who described Ms. Taylor as an educator whose generosity, passion, and commitment have made an extraordinary impact on the school community. “Ms. Taylor is a profoundly giving educator whose dedication is both relentless and inspiring,” the nomination read. “She treats excellence not as a goal but as a standard.”
Known for transforming every corner of Lew Wallace into a place that is curiosity‑inspiring, engaging, and simply beautiful, Ms. Taylor pours her time and heart into both her classroom and the wider school environment. She shines brightest when she sees her students giving their best, when families attend the events she helps bring to life, and when the community comes together to learn and celebrate.
